Mesa
April 10 - April 27, 2008
Written by Doug Curtis
Directed by David Nairn
Paul, an out of work writer, agrees to drive his wife's grandfather, Bud, to his retirement trailer in Mesa, Arizona, thinking the adventure and inspiration of the road trip will lift him from the slump he has found himself in. The problem is 93 year old Bud is intent on arriving for his last year at the trailer the same way he always has; stopping at his favourite Denny's and Motel 6's along the way, and with no interest in indulging in Paul's romantic notions. Through their friction and while watching Bud and his friends in the twilight of life, Paul's own life is altered in this poignant comedy.
