Lighting The Lobby Walls
Date Posted: 01/11/2016
We're big on art at Theatre Orangeville, not just the triple threat of the performing arts: acting, singing and dancing. We love the visual arts too and we have Susan Reynolds to thank for that. Susan, who is a tourism consultant by day at the Orangeville Visitor’s Centre, also curates the art displays there as well as in Theatre Orangeville’s lobby. She figures in eight years more than 150 local artists have showcased their work.
Susan, who is a lifelong dabbler in the arts, prides herself in finding a visual theme to correspond with the dramatic content of each main stage production. Currently five artists have contributed lighthouse paintings to illustrate The Ghost Island Light, a comedy/thriller playing until Nov. 6, including works by our own Kay MacGregor, retired house manager. - Bernadette
