Orangeville lost a pillar of the community this week — Donna Holwell, owner/operator of the Lord Dufferin Centre. Not only was Donna a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, she was a huge advocate for seniors. She was also an advocate f for the arts, and a dear friend and sponsor, with her husband Dave, of Theatre Orangeville. On Wednesday Oct 19th, the sun shone brilliantly on blazing fall colours by Island Lake as Donna was laid to rest. Outside the Lord Dufferin Centre that night, candles flickered on the lawn, burning Donna’s place in our hearts forever. - Bernadette |
