COVID-19
Date Posted: 13/03/2020
Dear valued patrons,
We are continuing to monitor the evolving situation around the COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) through the advice and guidance of public health authorities. At this time, health authorities state that the risk to Ontario residents still remains low. We will continue to take direction from our local Public Health department, and until a time in which we are instructed to make adjustments to or postpone performances, all performances will take place as scheduled.
The health and well-being of our audiences, staff, volunteers and artists is paramount. Although no cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Dufferin County, we are taking a proactive stance in the Opera House to increase the frequency of our cleaning service, and will be disinfecting high-touch areas, such as counters, railings, door handles, and the armrests in the Theatre after every performance. Hand-sanitizer is also being made available in the lobby.
Following the advice of public health officials, we encourage everyone to practice healthy hygiene habits, such as washing hands frequently, covering coughs and sneezes, and avoiding touching your face. Additionally, anyone who is experiencing cold or flu symptoms, or who is not feeling well, is encouraged to stay home and contact the Box Office to reschedule their tickets.
If you have already purchased a ticket to a show and you are unable to attend, we have relaxed our exchange procedure/ticketing policy. To do this, we have made the following accommodations:
- elimination of all/any exchange fees
- you can exchange your ticket for:
- a ticket to a future Theatre Orangeville Main Stage performance in the remainder of this season, or the 2020-21 Season
- a credit on your account or gift certificate for the value of your ticket
- convert your ticket to a donation and receive a tax receipt for its value
We promise to remain vigilant, and we are prepared to make decisions based on current recommendations, as well as in response to changing conditions.
